Begin with your own eligibility
Entry requirements depend on nationality, travel purpose, documents and the journey. Use the official immigration or visa information for your situation rather than a general tourist checklist. If an airline asks for an additional document, check the reason before departure.
Do not assume a friend’s entry route applies to you. A tourist visit, work, study and medical travel are different purposes, and a document must cover the visit you are actually making.
An application is not an approval
If using an eligible e-Visa route, follow the official instructions and check the issued approval. The portal asks travellers to print the electronic travel authorisation for presentation on arrival. Keep it accessible with the passport used for the application.
Check names, document details, validity and permitted entry arrangements. A payment receipt or application reference does not by itself establish that a visa has been granted. Resolve a discrepancy through the official process before relying on it at check-in.
Arrival information is another step
The official e-Arrival service explicitly describes its form as arrival information, not a visa. Do not confuse completing that form with permission to enter or treat a visa approval as proof every arrival-information requirement has been handled.
Check the current requirements and timing for your traveller category close to departure. Use the official service and retain the relevant confirmation. A travel agent’s summary can help organise the steps, but should not replace the actual document and instructions.
Make the first journey simple
Keep the address and contact for your first accommodation available offline. Check which airport, terminal or station your booking uses and plan the transfer to the exact address. A city name alone is not enough for a driver or a late arrival.
Confirm check-in timing and what happens if the journey is delayed. Do not book an immediate onward connection simply because two places look close on a map. Entry processing, baggage and the final journey all take time.
Keep useful records without oversharing
Carry the identification and journey documents required for your trip, with a secure backup you can access if needed. Share sensitive passport or booking details only through the legitimate channel for the specific requirement.
Leave the first day flexible enough to settle in. Entry paperwork and transport preparation should remove avoidable uncertainty, not become a guarantee of a queue-free arrival. Check the current rules, keep the documents clear and know where you are going after the formalities.
