The careful distinction is inspiration: do not assume the building has the same history as a preserved aristocratic house simply because the styling evokes one. Compare the actual address, room and facilities with Fairlawn or a hosted family home rather than grouping them all under one heritage label.
JW Marriott and Westin: two pool-led hotel directions
JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata lists an outdoor pool and several dining venues. The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat is a separate New Town, Rajarhat option with a pool and a much different location from an old-city guesthouse. Both can be investigated for a hotel-led break, but neither gives every room a private pool. Confirm current pool operation, access hours and the facilities included in your particular rate. A dated maintenance notice on a website should prompt a direct check, not a guessed closure or reopening.
